Dr Catherine Dumouchel
Psychologist, Psy. D., C. Psych.
Catherine has been most notably trained in Emotion Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches. Her areas of expertise include anxiety (panic attacks, Agoraphobia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, specific phobias, and social anxiety) and mood disorders (Depression, Bipolar Disorder), interpersonal difficulties, grief, Primary Insomnia, problems related to emotion regulation as well as Borderline Personality Disorder. Her clinical experience was acquired through multiple placements completed in different settings including the Montfort Hospital and the University of Québec in Outaouais. Catherine’s focus on acceptance and empathy as key therapeutic values allows her to create a relationship of trust which fosters openness. The client’s objectives are established in a collaborative approach and her integrative therapeutic intervention framework is adapted to the needs of the client in order to achieve their personal goals.
Dr Josée Fitzpatrick
Psychologist, Ph. D., C. Psych.
Josée completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Ottawa. She completed her internship at the Centre for Psychological Services and Research and the Montfort Hospital Mental Health Clinic (DBT program). She provides psychological services to adolescents, adults and couples experiencing a range of concerns, including: relationship and emotion regulation difficulties, trauma, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and adjustment to major life transitions. Josée offers services in both English and in French.
Josée’s treatment framework, grounded within an attachment theory framework, integrates emotion-focused, dialectical-behavioural, cognitive-behavioural, and interpersonal approaches as well as mindfulness.
She strives to create an inclusive environment in her clinical practice and maintains a focus on individuals' personal capacities of resilience. She has a particular interest in health services for marginalized populations including minority groups, women, LGBTQ2+ populations, transgender and non-binary people, and other gender minorities.
Dr Annie Gagné
Psychologist, Ph.D., C. Psych.
Annie obtained her Ph.D. at the University of Ottawa. She has completed her internship at the Centre for Psychological Services and Research and at the Family Health Clinic of Clarence-Rockland in the summer of 2016. In addition to offering psychological services at the Eastern Ottawa Psychological Centre, she completed her doctoral thesis concerning difficulties in the context of blended families, and protective factors in couples living in blended families. Her main fields of expertise are: anxiety and mood disorders, life transitions, grief, trauma, as well as interpersonal difficulties. She is trained in Emotion Focused Therapy for individuals and couples, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Interpersonal Therapy approaches. She strongly believes in offering an integrative treatment that respects and prioritizes her client’s objectives. Her authenticity, acceptance, and openness allow her to offer a safe and secure therapeutic climate in therapy. She works collaboratively with her clients and demonstrates flexibility in order to adapt evidence-based treatments to her client’s unique preferences. She offers services to adolescents, adults, and couples in both French and English. Her work is guided by her desire to honor her client’s strengths and resiliency, while acknowledging the courage it takes to seek help when difficulties arise.
Dr Gabrielle Blais
Psychologist, Psy. D., C. Psych.
Gabrielle obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO). She was first trained in Emotion-Focused Psychotherapy at the UQO Psychological Services Clinic, where she worked with people suffering from interpersonal difficulties as well as depressive and anxiety disorders. She then completed her first internship at the Montfort hospital's Department of Health Psychology, providing follow-ups for patients with physical or chronic illnesses (diabetes, insomnia, heart problems, chronic pain, etc.) and with various mental health issues. This experience allowed her to further develop her skills in Cognitive-behavioural therapy and Emotion-Focused couple therapy. Gabrielle completed her second internship at the Eastern Ottawa Psychological Center, where she was trained in the Dialectical Behavioural therapy approach. She also co-facilitated therapy groups and perfected her ability to work with couples.
Gabrielle's areas of interest include depression, anxiety, adjustment to life transitions, trauma, interpersonal difficulties, emotional regulation difficulties and Borderline Personality Disorder. She generally favours an integrative treatment, using techniques from different therapeutic approaches (emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioural, dialectical behavioural and mindfulness). Her interventions are tailored to the needs of the individual and evidence-based. Authenticity, openness and acceptance characterize her practice, creating a climate free of any judgment and a bond of trust with the client. She encourages a collaborative approach that aims to foster change and guide the client towards achieving their goals. Gabrielle primarily provides psychological services to adults, adolescents and couples.
Dr Annie Girard

Dr. Girard obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa. She completed her internship at the Centre for Psychological Services and Research at the University of Ottawa and the Clarence-Rockland Family Health Team. During her clinical training, she completed practicum placements at Montfort Hospital (Health Psychology, and Department of Pediatrics), at the Ottawa Hospital (Psychosocial Oncology Services and Maternal Fetal Medicine), at the Clarence-Rockland Family Health Team, and the Ottawa Institute for Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy.
Dr. Girard offers services in French and English to adults. Her clinical interests include anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychological adjustment to health problems (e.g. chronic pain, diabetes, cancer), perinatal health, sexual health, and trauma. She uses an integrative, evidence-based framework drawing from cognitive-behavioural, experiential, and mindfulness approaches. She adopts a collaborative approach with her clients, and strives to create a climate of safety in therapy, based on the values of acceptance and authenticity.
Dr Myriam Gagnon

Myriam obtained her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Ottawa. She completed her internship at the University of Ottawa’s Centre for Psychological Services and Research, and the Clarence-Rockland Family Health Team. Over the course of her training, she has provided psychological services at the Montfort Hospital (Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Program), the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre (Community Mental Health Program, Schizophrenia Program), and at the Ottawa Institute for Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy. Her clinical interests include anxiety, trauma, depression, emotion regulation difficulties, women’s sexual health, and psychotic-spectrum disorders. She provides psychological services in French and English.
Her integrative treatment framework draws from cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical-behaviour therapy, interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness. She aims to tailor evidence-based intervention plans to meet individual client needs. Her clinical work is guided by the values of acceptance, non-judgment, and authenticity. By using a strength-based, collaborative approach, she strives to cultivate an atmosphere that is fertile to self-exploration, and allows the development of meaningful changes.
Myriam is also a certified yoga instructor and is happy to provide mindfulness yoga workshops at the Eastern Ottawa Psychological Centre. She aims to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where anyone can develop ways to become aware of their present moment experience.
Dr. Christina Mutschler
Ph.D., C. Psych
Christina completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). She completed her pre-doctoral internship at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Ottawa. Christina provides psychological services to adults experiencing a range of concerns including emotion regulation difficulties, trauma, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and adjustment to major life transitions.
Christina’s approach to treatment is integrative with an emphasis on developing a safe and secure therapeutic relationship while integrating evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioural therapy. Christina has completed specialized training in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder using evidence-based methods including Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She has provided these treatments to Canadian veterans as well as civilians who have experienced trauma. Christina also has an interest in providing psychological services for marginalized populations including the LGBTQ2+ population and has received specialized training for working with transgender and non-binary people.

Karen Randall
Registered Psychotherapist
Karen obtained her Masters of Counselling and Spirituality from Saint-Paul University in Ottawa. She is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapy (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) Karen has extensive clinical and managerial experience having worked in both the community mental health and hospital outpatient mental health settings. Over the course of her career, Karen has worked with individuals, couples and families living and recovering from various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, personality disorders, anger, bipolar disorder, suicide, trauma, addictions, grief, life transitions and burnout. She is fully bilingual, offering services in both English and French. Developing a therapeutic rapport where each client feels secure, welcome and free of judgement is key. Karen’s practice centers on an integrative approach and is grounded in strength-based approach, integrating other modalities such as emotion-focused, Gottman Level 1 couple therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, ACT, trauma-informed practice and family of origin. Throughout life's journey, we all struggle to cope with challenging and overwhelming times brought on by change, transitions, stress, sadness, etc. Her in-depth, hands-on experience and training in the mental health field provides her with the knowledge and skills necessary to help support and guide clients through such periods. Audrey is currently completing her doctoral research at the University of Ottawa, where she is completing her PhD in clinical psychology. She completed her predoctoral internship at Eastern Health in Newfoundland and Labrador. She currently offers services to adults and adolescents in French and English under the supervision of Dr. Annie Gagné.
Through her clinical training, Audrey has provided therapy and psychodiagnostic assessment psychological services to adults, children and adolescents in hospitals and private practices in Canada and internationally. Audrey maintains her desire to work with individuals from marginalized populations, such as individuals from the 2SLGBTQIA+ and culturally diverse communities.
Her evidence-based therapeutic framework integrates experiential, interpersonal and dialectical-behavioral therapy approaches to suit the needs of the client. Audrey's work is rooted in the values of acceptance, authenticity, curiosity, and compassion. She prioritizes respect and collaboration to develop a bond of trust with her clients and lead to positive changes in their lives. Dr. Alissa Langlois
Psychologist (Interim Autonomous Practice)
Alissa completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at the Université du Québec en Outaouais. She currently holds a certificate of registration Authorizing Interim Autonomous Practice in the province of Ontario. She was trained in cognitive behavioural therapy at the Clinique de Services Psychologiques de l'UQO (CSPUQO). She completed an internship at Montfort Hospital in the mental health program and in the Integrative Day Hospital working with diverse populations. Finally, she completed her second internship at the Eastern Ottawa Psychological Centre.
Throughout her clinical practice, Alissa has co-facilitated therapy groups using both cognitive-behavioral and dialectical-behavioral approaches. She has worked with clients with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders and interpersonal difficulties. Her predominant therapeutic approach is third-wave cognitive behavioural therapy.
Alissa's therapeutic approach blends warmth and authenticity to best support each and every client. She prioritizes a collaborative, dynamic relationship that puts each person's needs first and creates a safe, caring environment. Emilie Bellehumeur
Therapist
Emilie is currently completing her doctorate in clinical psychology at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO). Her first internship was at Montfort Hospital's Health Psychology Department, where she worked with clients dealing with physical illnesses (diabetes, Crohn's, insomnia, pain, cancer, cardiac disorders) and with family caregivers. Her second internship was here at the Eastern Ottawa Psychological Centre, where she offers bilingual services to adults and adolescents.
Emilie is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Catherine Dumouchel. She uses an integrative therapeutic approach to address the specific needs of each client dealing with a variety of issues (including mood disorders, interpersonal difficulties, grief and self-esteem). In the course of her training, she has been introduced to emotion-focused therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Marie-Eve earned her M.Sc. in research from McGill University and her MA-Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Ottawa. She currently holds a certificate of registration Authorizing Interim Autonomous Practice in the province of Ontario. Completing her clinical psychology internship at the Ottawa Institute of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, she relies on a scientist-practitioner training model to provide psychodiagnostic assessments and evidence-based treatments following empirical research and clinical guidelines.
Specializing in adult therapy, Marie-Eve offers psychodiagnostic assessments, as well as individual and couple therapy services. Her expertise lies in various areas, including relationship and interpersonal difficulties, emotion regulation, trauma, Borderline and other personality disorders, major life transitions, depression, and anxiety. She is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Josée Fitzpatrick pending the receipt of her professional title.
Marie-Eve's clinical approach is rooted in attachment theory and employs a trauma-informed perspective. She has undergone training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and incorporates principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into her therapeutic work.

Bronwyn O'Brien

Bronwyn has gained many years of experience in a multitude of sites in the region. She completed her graduate practicum training at the Centre for Psychological Services and Research, Eastern Ottawa Psychological Center, Royal Ottawa Mental Health Center (Schizophrenia Recovery Program, Substance Use and Concurrent Disorders Program), and Kanata Psychology and Counselling Center. Bronwyn provides psychological services under the supervision of registered psychologist, Dr. Josée Fitzpatrick, to adolescents, adults and couples experiencing a range of concerns including relationship and emotion regulation difficulties, trauma, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties and adjustment to major life transitions.
Bronwyn integrates evidence-based approaches, including Emotion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, as well as attachment theory into her treatment framework.
